SSG Retain IIP
- Date: Monday 11th February 2008
Plymouth based Health and Safety firm SSG Training and Consultancy has successfully retained its IIP standard following a recent review.
SSG, who first received the award back in January 2005, have worked hard to maintain the high standards set by IIP and have developed a number of new initiatives over the past 12 months to demonstrate the company’s continued commitment to its team members.
Areas identified as good practice included: a focused approach to business planning involving all team members; developing competancies of team members and improving resource management to support development.
Rachel Harvey, Office Manager and IIP leader at SSG, believes the key to the continued success of SSG to be the culmination of team work and a strong sense of value placed on all team members. ‘At SSG we make sure our colleagues know the important role they play within the organisation. As well as undertaking mandatory training, team members can request specific training that they believe will enhance their development and that of the company. Our staff turnover is extremely low partly due to the efforts we put in to ensure everyone feels their efforts are recognised and valued by the company.’
SSG’s accreditation will once again be reviewed in 2011, and plans are already in place to continue developing SSG’s already strong commitment to its team.
