SSG Set to Expand Training Channels
- Date: Tuesday 10th November 2009
Local Health and Safety firm SSG Training and Consultancy are pleased to announce this week an exciting new strategic partnership with Guernsey based firm Normandie Health and Safety.
The partnership, which has been agreed this week, will enable the two leading health and safety companies to provide an increased level of training and consultancy support throughout the Channel Islands. In particular, the two companies will be offering a range of health and safety courses including IOSH, NEBOSH and CSkills approved courses in both Jersey and Guernsey, starting later this month.
This is the second wave of expansion SSG have undertaken in recent weeks after the recent opening of two brand new training rooms at their Head Office in Plymouth to accommodate the increase in demand for their training courses.
Mark Salmon, Managing Director of SSG believes the company’s continued expansion highlights not only the company’s commitment to increased regional training provision but also how firms are continuing to prioritise health and safety as part of their growth plans despite the recession. ‘Normandie Health and Safety are the leading provider in the Channel Islands and we are delighted to be form this partnership with such a reputable company. The opportunities are endless and we are looking forward to expanding the portfolio of courses and services currently offered on the islands over the coming 12 months. We have been delivering training courses in Plymouth, Cornwall and Bristol for over 15 years and have steadily increased delegate numbers during this time. As a leading provider in the region expansion to the Channel Isles is an excellent progression for the business.’
Chris Schofield, Managing Director of Normandie Health and Safety explains, “Greater awareness of health and safety throughout the Islands has led to increasing calls for more job specific training. In order to maintain a responsive quality cost effective course delivery it was necessary for us to seek a partner that both shared our commitment to customer service and had the resource to assist with the range of courses required. We were delighted to meet SSG and develop a partnership which we believe enables us to deliver the most comprehensive training programme available in the Islands.’
