Three things to do in March

- Year End is in Sight
o Don’t forget to set time aside to go through your year-end calculations, particularly if your holiday year ends in March. You may also need to address the issue of Easter Bank Holidays falling in March, rather in April, this year. Call your HR Consultant if you think this applies to you.
- Holiday Season – Plan Ahead
o It’s spring and most families now make arrangements for the summer holidays. Make sure that holiday is approved early and distributed fairly.
- Review Your Bonus and Commission Structure
o Following the case ruling relating to enforced overtime payments being included in holiday pay, it has now been confirmed that the same principle should apply to commission and bonus payments. If an employee receives regular payments, they should now receive a nominal amount top-up, representing the average over a 17 week reference period.
