Course Attendees
This course is suitable for managers and professional health and safety practitioners and equips the holders to advise on effective management over a wide range of industry sectors. It is a level 6 qualification (UK National Qualifications Network) and as such is regarded as equivalent to a university degree.
Entry to the NEBOSH National Diploma assumes a level of knowledge equivalent to NEBOSH National General Certificate and builds from this point. Therefore it is highly recommended that applicants possess a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent level.
All applicants will be evaluated individually considering the knowledge and experience necessary for success on the NEBOSH National Diploma.
NOTE: Delegates must be proficient in the use of written English as assessments are currently offered, and must be answered, in English only. They must be able to both understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
Course Background
The NEBOSH National Diploma for Health and Safety Management Professionals is the qualification for aspiring health and safety professionals, building upon the foundation knowledge provided by the NEBOSH National General Certificate. It is a prestigious and demanding course that is internationally recognised as a leading qualification for health and safety.
The diploma itself allows you to have the letters DipNEBOSH allowing for application to GradIOSH and further progression to chartered status.
Course Duration
This element of the course is 9 days long. Delegates should complete 45 hours of private study in addition to the course.
Delivery is based on a learner-centred approach using tutor presentations, practical demonstrations, individual and group projects, guest speakers, games, quizzes and other activities. It is delivered as a classroom and virtual course; delegates can choose to mix these learning styles throughout the duration of the course. This enables delegates to be flexible with their learning to suit their needs whilst still getting the same quality training, support and communication with tutors and other learners. Training Certification and Assessment
Assignment for this element consists of a case study - simulation only.
A unit certificate is awarded denoting successful achievement of each unit. The diploma parchment is issued on successful completion of all units.
