UKATA Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative Refresher

This course refreshes and updates the knowledge gained on the UKATA Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative course.

Course Attendees

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Approved Code of Practice states that ‘Refresher training should be given at least every year’. Therefore, anyone who has attended the Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative course will require this annual refresher. This includes a refresher of the Asbestos Awareness syllabus; delegates do not need to attend the Asbestos Awareness refresher course in addition to this course.

NOTE: Delegates must have previously attended the full UKATA Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative course and supply certificates or evidence of this training prior to course commencement. A skills analysis will be undertaken at the start of the course to confirm delegates attending have retained information from their previous course and ensure refresher training is sufficient.

Course Background

Asbestos is one of the biggest occupational health issues and kills around 5000 workers each year, which is more than those who die through road traffic accidents in the UK. However, asbestos is not just a problem of the past. It can be present today in any building built or refurbished before the year 2000.
