This course is intended for those with responsibility for carrying out internal audits, existing and newly appointed auditors, quality managers, health and safety managers and advisors, environmental managers and advisors and integrated risk managers.

SSG offer this course over three days as a classroom course. There is an optional fourth day of tutor-led practical application for private courses.

During this intensive course delegates will learn about the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and how to deliver structured internal audits in compliance with this standard. A third day will be spent understanding how ISO 45001 (health and safety), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 50001 (energy) both integrate and differ from ISO 9001.

Day 1 - Understanding ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard

• Structure, purpose and benefits of management systems
• Navigating ISO standards and applying the PCDA model
• Main clauses of ISO 9001:2015 standard

Day 2 - Qualities of an internal auditor

• Principles of auditing
• Audit planning
• Conducting internal audits
• Documenting audit reports

Day 3 - Awareness and integrations with other standards

• ISO 14001:2015
• ISO 45001:2018
• ISO 50001:2018

Day 4 - Tutor-led application (for private courses)

• Live internal audits of delegate's own workplace under guidance of SSG tutor - areas to be audited will be agreed with company management during the course
• Planning of audits, designing of question set, conducting of interviews and writing-up of findings

This day represents a culmination of everything learned across the course and gives delegates the confidence to conduct real internal audits while still under the umbrella of the SSG tutor.

Audits completed during the course may also be submitted as evidence of adherence to the company's internal audit schedule.

SSG course attendance certificates will be issued after the successful completion of training.
