Ian Tagg
Health and Safety Trainer / Consultant
Ian became a consultant in 2009 and is heavily involved in fire safety as an ex-Home Office Fire Inspector and graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineers. He is also a Chartered member of IOSH and completed a diploma in fire risk assessments.
Ian started his career within the Royal Navy serving in the Falklands, Bosnia, Iraq, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan conflicts. His safety experience initially involved aviation safety where he controlled flight decks of aircraft carriers. His later roles included that of a damage control officer for sea safety and a training officer for aviation safety and aircraft crash rescue. His other responsibilities included being a fire officer at a large military airfield, which led him on to becoming a Home Office Fire Safety Inspector providing advice for the base and later the Crown Estate.
An ex-runner who became a little too slow, when not working Ian can be found walking the lanes and coast of Cornwall and in the summer kayaking the estuaries around Falmouth.
