Gavin joined the SSG HR team in 2017, bringing with him extensive knowledge of restructures, cultural change, employee engagement and policy development. In addition to this, his area of expertise lies in employee relations. Alongside his HR work, Gavin is NEBOSH qualified and a Mental Health First Aider.

Following a degree in Theology at University of Birmingham, he undertook a variety of administrative and line management roles within pharmaceuticals, facilities management and construction. He progressed into HR and gained his CIPD qualifications whilst working in the manufacturing sector in the West Midlands, and then progressed into a HR manager role with a national logistics company. Following a relocation to Devon he worked for a global Aerospace manufacturer where he operated as a senior HR generalist for 10 years.

Away from SSG, Gavin can be found pounding the streets and hills of South Devon as he is a keen member of several running clubs, or spending time with his family.
