Sue Mcdonald

Membership Advisor

In Sue's role as Membership Advisor she supports our health and safety, employment law and ISO members with their everyday requirements and training needs in a timely and efficient manner whilst maintaining a high level of customer care. She assists with the production of training proposals for members and liaises with our Service Support and Service Delivery teams. Her role also involves being the primary call taker for all members and directing incoming calls as appropriate. Prior to SSG, Sue has worked in several different sectors within the last 30 years including the National Health Service, three construction companies and a health and safety advisory. She has first hand experience of operating construction and building companies and experiencing the everyday tasks and workload that are needed to be updated to ensure the smooth running of a business. As well as this, she has gained qualifications in IOSH Working Safely and IOSH Managing Safely - this knowledge and certification combined help her to assist clients on a daily basis. Sue has also been successful in gaining Associate membership of IEMA. Outside of work, Sue and her family spend a lot of time walking their three dogs or at their caravan in Cornwall. She enjoys cooking for her family - who always seem to be hungry - and is regularly kept on her toes by her new grandchildren! She also likes to have a Gin and Tonic (or two) whilst listening to live music and often goes to watch her husband play the Blues in his band.
