In Stephen's role at SSG, he will be delivering a range of health and safety training courses to our clients.

Stephen has a vast background beginning with 29 years in the Royal Marines and followed by a move into health and safety consultancy, delivering services throughout the UK, Europe and Africa. This was inclusive of NGC / IGC as well as the full range of IOSH / CIEH / UKATA accredited courses, aimed mainly to oil and gas organisations. More recently, he worked as the Head of QHSE for a global maritime security company, where he had overall responsibility for the quality management system. His main responsibility was to maintain conformance and compliance to ISO standards 9001:2015, 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 and 28007:2007 certified by Lloyds Register. During his career, Stephen has become an IOSH Technician, and gained qualifications including NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, NVQ 4 in Management and Lloyds Register Internal and Lead Auditor.

Having spent the majority of working life away from home and family, his spare time is predominantly linked to his four grandchildren and their activities, as well as being the bank of 'Grandad'!
