I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the HHSRS training which was held yesterday all day. It was clear that I required a full refresher to ensure my knowledge was aligned with current best practice and contemporary regulatory expectations.

Rob delivered the course with a very high level of professionalism. His teaching methodology was structured, comprehensive, and aligned with the analytical approach expected within building surveying and housing standards enforcement. He broke down the complexities of the HHSRS assessment process, explaining both the technical framework and the practical application of the scoring methodology to real-world scenarios.

The group included delegates with varying levels of experience, including some who were entirely new to housing standards. Rob demonstrated considerable patience and adaptability, ensuring that every participant was able to fully engage with the material. His use of practical, visual examples - followed by detailed technical explanation - made the hazard assessment process much clearer and easier to apply with confidence.

The practical exercises were thoughtfully designed and highly relevant. Where participants encountered difficulties, Rob took the time to revisit the material and guide them through the reasoning, ensuring the underpinning principles were fully understood.

Additionally, it was extremely helpful to hear that he intends to follow up with delegates - either individually or via a group Teams session - to address any outstanding queries or challenges arising from the practical exercises. This level of post-course support is both professional and reflective of best practice in ensuring competency.
