All of our First Aid courses are approved by the First Aid Industry Body and Quality Care Academy.

This course is suitable for any person selected to ensure that they are capable of taking on the responsibilities of a first aider.
NOTE: Due to the practical nature of this course, delegates are requested to wear suitable clothing i.e. trousers, clean footwear.

Course Programme
- Understand the role of the first aider
- Manage and record an incident
- Understand the importance of avoiding cross-infection
- Deal with the unconscious casualty
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Train in the use of an AED
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is:
- Choking
- Wounded and bleeding
- Suffering from shock
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes and minor burns
On successful completion of training, successful candidates should be able to:
Training Certification and Assessment
SSG course attendance certificates will be issued on successful completion of the course and are valid for three years. It is suggested that certification is renewed every three years to ensure that persons responsible for first aid are kept up to date with best practices.
