The course is aimed at those involved in the temporary works process but who are not undertaking the role of the Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor. Directors, contract managers, site foremen, estimators, planners, procurement, commercial managers and health and safety professionals can also attend this course for a better understanding of temporary works.

This course gives you a broad understanding of temporary works and industry best practice, including what constitutes temporary works, their safety critical importance, common temporary works issues and good safety risk management.

SSG offer this course over one day as a classroom or virtual course.

Completion of this course will enable delegates to:

• Understand what constitutes temporary works and how they are used in construction
• Raise your awareness and improve your understanding of the need to plan for temporary works in construction
• Support your understanding of common temporary works issues
• Gain a greater understanding of the management process for temporary works
• Raise your awareness of the other roles and responsibilities involved in the temporary works process

Assessment will be through multiple-choice questions at the end of the course as well as being interactive during the course. Successful delegates will receive an SSG certificate which is valid for three years.
