Representatives of Employee Safety
This course covers a variety of topics to fully equip RoES to fulfil their duties under the regulations, positively support management and influence a positive safety culture.
Course Attendees
Employers must provide the elected representatives with adequate training to enable them to fulfil their duties – this course is aimed at such individuals. There are no prerequisites for delegates attending this training course however a basic knowledge of general health and safety would be an advantage.

The Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996 requires employers to consult with employees on matters relating to their health and safety at work. Where there are no Trade Union safety representatives, employers can either consult with employees directly or via Representatives of Employee Safety (RoES).
The function of the RoES are to represent the workforce, specifically on:
RoES may also assist management with a range of other items such as accident investigation, workplace inspections and risk assessments. This two-day course aims to cover a variety of topics to fully equip RoES to both fulfil their duties under the regulations as well as positively supporting management and influencing a positive safety culture.

Training Certification and Assessment
This course is highly interactive involving tutor presentations, group discussions, DVDs, practical projects, games and assessments. Delegates will be assessed on their input during practical exercises and through a summative assessment concluding the training.
On successful completion of training, delegates will receive an SSG course attendance certificate which is valid for three years.
