CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme

The course is intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities.

NOTE: Delegates must be competent in English at supervisor level in order to complete this course.

The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme introduces site supervisors to their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. Delegates will learn the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.

This course is endorsed by Build UK.

SSG offer this course over two days as a classroom or virtual course.

Completion of this course will enable delegates to:

• Supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role

• Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare of workers on site

• Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly

Delegates will be assessed through a case study exercise and toolbox talk, as well as a multiple choice / written exam paper at the end of the course. Successful delegates will receive a CITB certificate valid for five years, renewed by attending a one-day refresher course.
