CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher
This course aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date and refresh the content learned on the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme.
Course Attendees
The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme has an expiry date of five years. Holders of the SMSTS certificate must attend this two-day refresher course every five years to renew their certification.
NOTE: Delegates must be competent in English at the management level to complete this course.
Course Background
This course aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. Including a wide range of topics, this refresher course builds on the previous five-day course programme.
This course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all construction managers.
Course Duration
SSG offer this course over two days as a classroom or virtual course.
Course Programme
At the end of the training delegates will be aware of and be able to implement:
- All updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation which affects their role as a manager
- New guidance and industry best practice affected by changes
- Their duties and responsibilities with regard to health, safety, welfare and the environment
Training Certification and Assessment
The method of assessment will be by multiple-choice and written questions at the end of the course. Successful delegates will receive a CITB certificate valid for five years.
