This course is suitable for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety.

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is Europe’s leading body for health and safety and is committed to promoting protection from workplace hazards at every level.

IOSH Working Safely is an international safety certificate based on best practice. Through interactivity, scenarios and stories, this course provide an understanding of how actions in the workplace contribute to safety and health.

SSG offer this as an e-learning course, which will take approximately 8 hours to complete. Learners will be able to check their progress throughout the course using the e-learning checks at the end of each part of the course.

By the end of the course, the learner will be able to:

• Appreciate the importance of risk management in the workplace

• Be aware of workplace health and safety in line with UK legislation

• Identify common hazards and risks

• Know how to make a difference to the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others

Learners’ knowledge and understanding will be formally assessed at the end of the course with a multiple-choice assessment. Those who pass will receive an IOSH certificate on completion of the course.
