IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workforce
IEMA is the membership body for more than 15,000 environment and sustainability professionals worldwide. Supporting individuals and organisations in setting and achieving globally recognised standards for sustainable practice, will in turn drive the development and uptake of sustainability skills.
IEMA Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workforce is one of a suite of courses, under the banner of Environmental Sustainability Skills for the Workplace, which is a new development programme aimed at non-environmental specialists.
This one-day course provides learners with a practical introduction to environmental sustainability, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, understanding and motivation to make a positive difference within their organisation. This course is perfect for those working in any operational-level job role across all sectors.
This introductory course helps your team get to grips with the basics, giving a fundamental awareness of environmental and sustainability issues:
- The main environmental and economic risks and opportunities
- Compliance obligations and business drivers for change
- The main potential impacts on environment and sustainability
- How to improve environmental performance
