
Paediatric First Aid
This two-day FAIB Level 2 course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED and has been developed for those who are working with children and infants.
Through a mixture of theoretical and practical work, delegates will cover a range of subects designed for those who are responsible for children and wish to gain a nationally accredited FAIB Level 2 Award.
A range of subjects is covered including:
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation
- Fainting
- Assessment of the situation
- Head injuries
- Choking
- Diabetes
- Fractures
- Foreign bodies
- Meningitis
- Control of bleeding and shock
- Anaphylaxis
- Burns
- Eye injuries
- Heat and cold
- Asthma
- Sickle cell anaemia
As a result of updated Training Body guidance relating to delivery of first aid courses during the Covid-19 pandemic, SSG have taken the decision to follow a ‘’Hands-on’’ approach to training the relevant skills associated with this subject.

Open Courses - Courses are delivered throughout the year at our regional training centres. The cost per delegate is £145.00 plus VAT. The Training Bundles fee per delegate is £130.00 plus VAT.
