Paediatric Emergency First Aid
This one-day Paediatric Emergency First Aid course has been designed for those who care for children and infants.
Through theoretical and practical work, delegates will cover a range of subjects designed for those who care for children and infants, such as parents, grandparents and babysitters.
Please note, if you have a professional interest, this course does not satisfy the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED, you must attend the full two day course.
A range of subjects is covered including:
- Principles of first aid
- First aid equipment
- Infection control
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Primary / Secondary survey
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and Defib
- Wounds and bleeding
As a result of updated Training Body guidance relating to delivery of first aid courses during the Covid-19 pandemic, SSG have taken the decision to follow a ‘’Hands-on’’ approach to training the relevant skills associated with this subject.

Open Courses - Courses are delivered throughout the year at our regional training centres. The cost per delegate is £115.00 plus VAT. The Training Bundles fee per delegate is £95.00 plus VAT.
