MEMBERSHIP Focus: Saxton Scaffolding

  • Date: Monday 23rd May 2011

At SSG we like to highlight the achievements of our SAFE Members and this month we are featuring Saxton Scaffolding.  Formed in 2009, the company has already established themselves as quality providers of scaffolding services across the Southwest.  Since joining the SAFE scheme in 2010 Saxton Scaffolding has worked hard to amend template documents supplied by SSG and produce high quality risk assessments, policies and procedures. These have been implemented across the business and led to the successful achievement of both SMAS and CHAS awards in 2011.  This factor has been key to them winning a number of new contracts and working with many new clients where accreditation was a prerequisite.

Saxton Scaffolding has also shown a high level of commitment to the safety of their team members by investing in a comprehensive training programme including Site Management and Supervisory level training, scaffold inspection, asbestos awareness and first aid.

Managing Director Shaun Greenslade is firmly committed to safety in Saxton; “I believe that quality systems for the management of health and safety brings not only short term but also long term benefits for any organisation.  In a sector where the risk of falls from heights is very real, safety is a priority.  SSG has helped us develop a positive approach to safety management and we look forward to continuing to work in partnership with them over the coming years.”

SSG act as retained health and safety advisors to many organisations in the Southwest and nationally.  For more information on SAFE call our dedicated SAFE membership coordinator Kim Moody on 01752 201616 or email kim.moody@ssg.co.uk.
