EU Citizen’s Rights Confirmed in Brexit Agreement

Following the completion of the first phase of the Brexit agreement on 8th December 2017 it has been confirmed that EU Citizens living in the UK and vice versa will have their rights to live, work and study protected.
Theresa May confirmed that EU citizens in the UK would have their rights “enshrined in UK law and enforced by British Courts.”
Similarly, UK citizens living in EU countries will be guaranteed the same rights.
Under the agreement, the European Court of Justice will continue to oversee the rights of EU citizens in the UK for eight years after Brexit, up to March 2027.
