SSIP Now Available Through SSG
- Date: Tuesday 12th January 2010
Local Health and Safety firm SSG Training and Consultancy are pleased to announce that they are now able to offer assistance with SSIP qualification. The Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP) has been established in direct response to the increased volume of health and safety pre-qualification questionnaires requested by various contractors nationwide. Through partnering with a local assessor, SSG can now assist companies in achieving compliance with this Scheme either as part of their SAFE membership scheme or as a separate consultancy service.
Members of the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP) which include CHAS, NHBC and EXOR have all signed “mutual recognition” agreements, which mean that as far as compliance is concerned, if you have been successfully accredited by one organisation, and become a registered member of SSIP then you will automatically be recognised by the other members of SSIP. You will not have to complete any additional questionnaires if you want to work for a client who understands the value of SSIP and the processes involved.
As the volume of health and safety pre-qualification questionnaires has increased so has the burden placed on small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) to repeatedly pre-qualify for both public and private sector work. For most SMEs, Stage 1 pre-qualification has become a source of excessive paperwork and significant cost. The scheme offered by SSIP will be invaluable in reducing costs as well as saving time in completing numerous applications forms.
For assistance with pre-qualification questionnaires or for details of the services we can provide, please do not hesitate to contact our team on 01752 201616.
