Three things to do in April

Three things to do in April

  • Date: Tuesday 5th April 2016

  1. Consider going paperless – Many companies already benefit from scanning documents rather than drowning in them. If you operate an accounting database, you can often get virtual office add-ons for a small investment, ensuring data protection compliance, making your workspace clutter free and reducing space requirements.
  2. Implement your salary changes – The National Living Wage for over 25 year olds from 01st April may also have an impact on the rest of your workforce remuneration, particularly if you operate on a pay scale. Now is the time to review and maybe consider new options such as performance related pay or staggered pay rises for new starters.
  3. Promote Health – With the sun tempting people outdoors, it’s the perfect time to introduce health conscious initiatives in the workplace. Provide fruit, rather than biscuits (not always the most popular choice, so be careful with this one!), offer a bike-to-work scheme or join a local, sometimes government subsidised, initiative. For more information, you can contact your local council or business chamber.
