Three things to do in November

Three things to do in November

  • Date: Tuesday 10th November 2015

  • Put focus on Modern Slavery

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 now requires companies with a turnover of more than £36M to publish an annual statement of their efforts to avoid modern slavery and human trafficking within their organisations and supply chain. Even if your organisation does exceed this threshold, you are still responsible for your choice of provider and if you engage gangmasters or employment agencies, take this month to check their licenses and keep copies on file.

  • Talk to your Staff

If your financial year starts on 01st May, now is a good time to give a 6 month update to your staff. Generally speaking, communication boosts engagement and your employees will be thankful for a heads-up to how the company is performing against objectives.

  • Season’s Greetings
Whether it’s for customers or staff, we will all start receiving cards, chocolates and emails fairly soon. Why not consider an environmentally friendly option such as an e-card this year? Or, rather than cards on desks, bring in a round of Christmas bakery for a seasonal pick-me-up?
