SSG have raised more than £700 for a South Devon hospice after completing a rather colourful run.
More than 30 members of staff were among 1,300 people who took part in the 5km run in South Devon. All those taking part were challenged to complete the route along Preston and Paignton beaches in Torbay while being showered in rainbow-coloured powder paint.
Community Engagement Officer, Denise Maclean, said: ‘It was a brilliant event and all team members, friends and family had a fantastic day. We have raised more than £700 for charity with more money yet to come in.’
Together, participants of this year’s event have pledged to raise £70,000 for Rowcroft Hospice, which helps to support patients and their families in South Devon to make the most of the time they have together.
Ms Maclean added: ‘The atmosphere on the day was great and the paint was a lot of fun. The crowds of supporters really helped us get around the course and we are delighted to have been able to raise so much money for such a worthy cause. I am really proud of all our team members who took part – they did a fantastic job!’
