SSG Director Awarded Fellowship
- Date: Monday 2nd December 2013
SSG are delighted to announce that Dr. Michael Cash (Operations Director) has been awarded Chartered Fellowship of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). A Fellowship is only awarded to Chartered Members who can demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the health and safety profession outside their working life. Of the current international membership there are approximately 500 out of the 60,000 members that have received this award.
Michael commented ‘It’s great to have peer recognition for my efforts in bringing a better understanding of risk management to children in secondary school education. I am currently working with students of ages ranging from 12 – 18 on various risk assessment projects. Hazards and risk are something most people will manage to a greater or lesser or extent during their professional careers. I believe much more could be done to improve students’ appreciation of safety law and risk reduction before they leave school. Ultimately, I am working towards a more prescriptive inclusion of risk management in the national curriculum.’
To ensure the highest service level to Clients, SSG insist that all their trainers and consultants are members of IOSH and have achieved or are working towards a Chartered status.
