ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised voluntary management system standard for environmental management. It aims to support your business to operate with the smallest 'environmental footprint' possible by assessing aspects and impacts, identifying and dealing with problems and monitoring operational performance to ensure continuous improvement.
Successful implementation of a management system certified to ISO 14001 demonstrates that your company is trying to improve its sustainability whilst responding to its compliance obligations relating to minimising negative environmental impacts from its operations.
The BS EN ISO 14001:2015 standard is built around the following top level structure, from Annex SL:
- Context of the Organisation
- Performance Evaluation
All management system standards will be built around this top level structure to enable better and easier integration with other standards and system elements, should a company wish to add these at a later date.
If your organisation is thinking about working towards certification to an ISO standard and you would like advice or support with building your management system, SSG is proud to offer a range of customer-specific consultancy services which can help.
