Getting Muddy for Charity

Getting Muddy for Charity

  • Date: Tuesday 8th October 2019

Twelve of our team got down in the mud for charity on Sunday 29 September in Plymouth’s Central Park, raising an enormous £350!

Members across various departments came together to raise money for Cancer Research UK whilst participating in the annual Pretty Muddy run; and as a result, raised an enormous £350!

The course was set out throughout the city’s central park ensuring 5K of truly muddy conditions. Despite the bad weather conditions, the course consisted of a variety of obstacles including piggybacking partners, inflatables, space-hoppers, an A-frame ‘wall of fame’ and commando nets throughout.

The Pretty Muddy Run is an annual event that takes place in cities across the UK to raise awareness and funds to help beat cancer. Races are open to both children and adults, for whom there are either 5K or 10K events available.

Denise Maclean, Marketing Manager at SSG Training and Consultancy, said “The day was a great success – we got really muddy, but we all laughed and had fun along the way and the sun came out in the end for us. We’re so happy to have raised such a huge amount for an amazing charity!”
